Goal Setting

Think of something you need or want that will cost you money. Examples might be back-to-school supplies, a vacation, a new or used car, a new home, a new appliance, etc. Choosing something that you want or need is a way of identifying a goal. Goals provide purpose and direction, guide decision making, help set priorities, and increase the chances of you meeting your needs. Every household has different goals, depending on what’s most important to its members. It’s a good idea for families to sit down together to talk about goals and to update them as needs change.
